How to use Combine images
What each layout does with different sizes
Side by side scales every image to the same height, stacked to the same width, both keeping the proportions. Grid gives every image an equal cell and centres it inside. Pick it when the pictures don’t match in shape.
The order is the order of the cards
Drag the cards to rearrange them; on a touchscreen press and hold the number badge, and with a keyboard use the ‹ › buttons. The first card is the leftmost or topmost image, and in a grid the cards fill row by row.
Spacing, background and size
The gap and the background colour are what make a collage look deliberate. 10 to 20 px of white is a safe start, and a dark background suits screenshots. “Scale each to” caps the longest side of each part (1200 px by default); very large combinations are scaled down to what browsers can still draw.
Questions
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. Everything runs inside your browser, so your photos never leave your device. Close the tab and nothing is left behind.
What if the images are different sizes?
Side by side they are scaled to the same height, stacked to the same width, always in proportion. The grid uses equal cells with each image centred.
